Not a registration service
KAYO GROUP INC does not represent CloseMyCar CA as a licensed vehicle registration service. The product does not file a title transfer, NRL or another government document on your behalf. Users must review, sign and submit official documents through the appropriate official channel.
No acceptance or transfer guarantee
The product cannot guarantee that the DMV or another agency will accept documents, that a title will transfer, that a buyer will complete the transfer, that an agency record will update on a particular schedule or that submitting an NRL eliminates every possible form of liability. A checklist or handoff record is not an official agency determination.
Official sources control
If CloseMyCar CA content conflicts with a current law, official form or California government instruction, the official source controls. Requirements can change. Users should open the linked official page and confirm that instructions still apply to their vehicle and transaction.
Complex cases
Active liens, loan payoffs, lost or out-of-state titles, deceased-owner or probate matters, salvage or nonrepairable vehicles, a seller who is not the titled owner, cross-border transactions and other unusual cases should go directly to the California DMV, an appropriately licensed registration service or a qualified legal or tax professional.
Vehicle, payment and fraud risks
CloseMyCar CA does not inspect vehicles, verify mechanical condition, provide a vehicle-history report, hold funds, provide escrow, authenticate cash, confirm identity or guarantee that another party is trustworthy. Arrange appropriate inspection, identity and payment protections separately.
